Co-founders of Adjacent Sal Saia and Rachel Jaffe.

We pledge that Adjacent will be a safe space for start-up founders and those that work with founders as co-founders, investors, collaborators, and supporters.

Adjacent will be safe from harassment and abuse. This means sexual harassment, racial discrimination, age discrimination, harassment for sexual orientation, religion, or disability.

Any person on the Adjacent platform can get in touch with the team via the app, or through our contact form on our website. Send us an email with your contact info, the name and email address of your accuser and a description of their actions. If we receive three reports from different people, we will block the user entirely from our platform.

We promise that when a user is blocked, we will not receive money from any firm that this person is affiliated with. If they are a part of a university or company, this company will be made aware of the accusations against this person without revealing those that reported them.

Our goal is to make Adjacent a platform that can change the current dynamic in entrepreneurship to make it so every entrepreneur, everywhere, feels safe as they pursue their venture. We want to engrain this pledge into our every action, and to be proactive in kicking abusers off the platform. To this end, we are open to suggestions on how we can be even more diligent in making sure sexual harassers, abusers, and those that discriminate have no place on our platform.
